* Salad Dressing Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons basil, oregano, or
tarragon leaves
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Preparation:
Combine ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Pour into a 1-pint jar or bottle.
Cover and shake.
Let stand for at least 1 week before using.
Strain and refrigerate.

Shurouq, u know what would make this recipe better? If it was Japanese! Dont change anything, just call it Japanese Salad Dressing, and Im sure ull come up with an excuse for not liking it ;P
Also, the book, according to reviews at amazon, kicks ass! And why wouldnt it? with a name like that, it must be excellent ;P

تاكسد الكحول ينتج عنه الخل والماد، واسم الخل بالغات اللاتينيه يعني النبيذ الحامض. ومن الطرائف لدى البعض مايقومون به عند عمليات التخليل من طقوس حتى يكون الناتج خلا طهور!
والكثير من الناس لايعلم انتشار الكحول في ما نتناوله من اطعمه وادويه، وعمليات الايض في الجسم تحتوي علي التحويلات من والى الكحول. في احد الاقسام بالعمل يقوم الاختصاصيون بالكشف عن محتوي الكحول في الاطعمه، والناتج ان انواع كثيره من الحلويات و الشوكولاته تحتوي نسبه من الكحول - ليست تلك الانواع التي يكون الكحول احد المحتويات المتعمده فيها. كما ان ادويه السعال كاقراص ال"ستربسل" تحتوي على الكحول، ولاننسى محاليل غسول الفم مثل ال"ليستيرين".
الطريف ان مشروبات الشعير التي انتشرت خلال العوام الاخيره تحتوي على نسبه طفيفه من الكحول اقل بكثير من النسبه التي تدخل اجسامنا من تلك الاطعمه والادويه التي ذكرت، الا ن هذا لم يثني البعض عن الترديد بحرمه المشروبات من منطلق ان كثيرها مسكر!
بالمناسبه، نسمع عن اناس تجمع النبيذ والمشروبات الكحوليه المعتقه ليس بهدف استهلاكها، وانما كنوع من الاستثمار او كجامعي التحف.
في احدى المهام قمت بزياره لاحد ى مناطق صنع النبيذ واطلعت على عمليات التعتيق داخل البراميل والزجاجات وكيف ان الزجاجات يجب قلبها وتغيير الفلينات اثناء التخميير وما الى ذلك كي لاتتعرض المحتويات للتاكسد لتنتج الخل بدلا من الشمبانيا مثلا.
والسؤال لهواه جمع المشروبات المعتقه التي لاينوون شربها اساسا: كيف يمكن معرفه ما اذا كان محتوى الزجاجه لايزال خمرا "نفيسا" وليس خلا "بخسا"ا؟

mustard + honey + caramel sugar + lime juice + lime zest + 1 clove garlic, crushed very fine + capers + olive oil (try Lupi) white label, not green & a tiny bit of water.
Goes very well with apple & gargeer salad :-)
anything sade sings is amazing.
and i bet u only included this recipe coz u thought it's close to wine. im sure you were disappointed by mrsb's info that it aint wine after all :P
