Yes, I do hate punctuation and grammatical errors. They defy the whole meaning of the article in my simple head.
And, since this is an Arabic article, written in an Arabic newspaper, it is not unusual at all to have these.
:) Just as they are, Arabs are whimsical in their judgments, their decisions, and of course in when and how they separate or end their sentences.
"Their" is used although I am an Arab myself. That is because I speak and read the language but can never write properly in Arabic. Why? Because, my dear, I cannot manage the grasp the protocol of the use of grammar in this language. The colon, the semicolon, the hyphens and the periods are different in the eyes of individual writers.
I just don't get it. Not even 20 years were enough to teach me.
Ah, this part of the world.

I liked it. However, these words will not get through to them; nothing will get through to them. They have devastated this land and will not stop. They need to be curbed.
I especially liked the comment by د. عصمت المنلا | لبنان since he provides a well organized summary in regards to religion's evolution in the Arab world, along with a couple of non-Arab countries.
Words will not do. Kuwait is too precious to be lost this way.
